Text of July 1, 1999 letter to Senate from President Lawrence acknowledging Recommendations of the Senate Revitalization Committee:

I have received your letter which states that, on April 23, 1999, the University Senate approved recommendations presented by the Senate Revitalization Committee. I am taking your recommendations under consideration and will consult with the University Vice President for Academic Affairs regarding those items that specifically relate to involvement of the university administration. I will get back to you and members of the University Senate this fall.

Please extend my thanks, particularly to the members of the Revitalization Committee, for their interest in seeking ways in which to improve and enhance participation in the University Senate.
