TEXT OF PRESIDENT McCORMICK'S SEPTEMBER 18, 2008 RESPONSE TO REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON CHARGE S-0603, SENATE MEMBERSHIP - NEW BRUNSWICK:

I am writing in response to the Reports and Recommendations on Charge S-0603 on Senate Membership - New Brunswick, as adopted by the University Senate on February 16, 2007 and January 25, 2008. The members of the University Structure and Governance Committee have my appreciation for their attention to this issue.

My administration is pleased to accept the Senate's reports and recommendations, as the proposed changes more accurately reflect the current structure of the academic units in New Brunswick. A revision of the language in University Regulation 50.2.1.C (3) to correspond to these changes will be proposed to the Board of Governors at an appropriate time.
