2008 E-mail from Arun Mukherjee, Director of Scheduling and Space Management,
on implementation of University Senate's October 2006 recommendations on Availability of
Syllabi During Add/Drop:
“I am pleased to inform you that based on University Senate's
recommendations on the availability of syllabi during add/drop, we will be
rolling out a new web based system soon that departments could use to update
the link for the course synopsis pages. Once the link is entered, all courses
offered by the department in the online schedule of classes will be updated
with a value of "Y" to indicate that synopsis page exists. Once you
click on the "Y" it will take you to the course synopsis page of the
department. With this system individual faculty members will no longer be
required to go through OIT to establish course synopsis page for his/her
course.
