Excerpt of Letter from Arlene Walker-Andrews, dated July 22, 2003, to Chairperson Panayotatos, regarding her departure from Rutgers and resignation from the Senate and other positions:

Dear Paul:

As you know, I will be leaving for Montana soon, starting the position of Associate Provost at The University of Montana-Missoula on August 18, 2003.  I wish to resign officially from the University Senate and the associated positions.  I have enjoyed my time in the Senate, especially as Faculty Representative to the Board of Governors.  I regret that I am unable to continue work on many of the important issues such as enrollment, admissions, and the possibility of re-organization at Rutgers.  I am certain you and others will be able to carry on and make headway in these areas.

Cordially,

Arlene Walker-Andrews
