Morning Committee Meetings, Noon Caucuses, and the 1:10 p.m. Senate Meeting will be held in the Camden Campus Center

TRANSPORTATION AND PRE-MEETING TIMETABLE:
9:00 a.m. - New Brunswick and Newark Senators board charter bus for Camden - Lot 98B, College Farm Road, near Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences Building on the Cook Campus. (Senators without Rutgers-New Brunswick parking permits who wish to park in Lot 98B must obtain a special permit from the Senate Office.)
9:15 a.m. sharp - Bus departs from Cook Campus.
10:30 a.m. (approximately) - Bus arrives in Camden.
10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon - Standing Committee meetings. Follow this link for a list of meeting times and room assignments.
12:00 noon to 12:50 p.m. - Faculty, Student and Staff Caucuses. (Due to the budget situation, lunch will not be provided this year. There are several venues for lunch (Follow the link, then scroll down to "Eating on Campus.") in and around the Camden Campus Center.)
1:10 p.m. - Call to Order in the Multipurpose Room, Camden Campus Center, Camden Campus.
Ten minutes post-adjournment - Board charter bus for return trip. Bus departs Camden Campus promptly 10 minutes after the Senate meeting adjourns.

Communications:

President McCormick's September 2010 Response acknowledging the Senate report and recommendations on on S-0908, Proposal to Increase Staff Membership, from the University Structure and Governance Committee. The proposal was adopted by the Board of Governors on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
Letter to the Rutgers University Senate from Kenneth O'Brien, President of The State University of New York Faculty Senate, expressing condolences on the death of Rutgers student Tyler Clementi.

SPECIAL ELECTION - STAFF SENATOR MEMBER OF THE SENATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: Last year's election of Senate Executive Committee members was conducted before the university-wide election of Staff Senators was completed. The Staff Member of the Executive Committee will be elected at today's Senate meeting. Follow this link to view the list of candidates, and to read their campaign statements.
