Instruction, Curricula, and Advising Committee Chair Natalie Borisovets
presented the ICAC response to
Charge A-1711 on Draft Acceptable Use Policy for Informational
Technology Resources. The
report and resolution were discussed. Senator Nicholas Tharney
moved to amend the report, adding an 8th Recommendation to Section B -
Policy Library 70.1.6: Email and Calendar Policy, as follows: "If the
aforementioned definition of 'University Business' is intended to apply
to all policies regarding the use of technology, that such a definition
be incorporated into Policies 70.1.1 and 70.1.7 in order to
disambiguate the use of such term in those policies. Otherwise,
Policies 70.1.1 and 70.1.7 should have separate definitions for such
term." The motion was
